It all started over 50 years ago in Louisiana. My Aunt Mae sat down with me on the side of the house.  The chores were done and there was a quiet moment with nothing to do. She taught me how to knit.  Not the fancy stitches, just basic knitting. She gave me a pair of knitting needles and began by using the phrase, “In the front door, and out the back door”. Knitting became my passion. I never used a traditional pattern to knit, I just formed the pieces according to my imagination.

Fast forward past the career and the family...school supplies replaced the knitting supplies, and my passions took on different forms. One day after my daughter had graduated from college and moved away, she asked me to make her an afghan. The spark was rekindled by that project and fueled by retirement. I have been knitting ever since. Fortunately I passed along the creative gene to my children. My daughter studied fashion design and my son studied graphic design and photography.  Now they each help me along this journey in rediscovering my first passion.
